From Orly Airport
An official metered taxi to Fontainebleau costs between €98 and €125. Up to 40% surcharge applies at night, on Sundays and public holidays. Journey time 45 – 90 minutes.

From Charles de Gaulle, Roissy Airport
An official metered taxi to Fontainebleau costs from €130. Up to 40% surcharge applies at night, on Sundays and public holidays. Journey time 90 minutes – 2 hours.

From Paris
An official metered Paris taxi costs from €100. Up to 40% surcharge
applies at night, on Sundays and public holidays. Journey time 60 – 90 minutes.

From Fontainebleau-Avon train station
Take a taxi from Fontainebleau-Avon station to CEDEP. Journey time 10 minutes.

IMPORTANT :
Please note that there are generally no taxis at the Fontainebleau-Avon station in the evening. However, if you would like us to reserve for a taxi, please inform us well in advance and we will arrange for a taxi to meet you (from the side“ Sortie Avon”).  The taxi driver will display a CEDEP sign. Please note that the journey will cost about 20€.

From Paris
Take the A6 motorway towards Lyon. Leave at the Fontainebleau exit. When you reach Fontainebleau at the Carrefour de la Libération (known as the Carrefour de la Fourche) follow the main road straight on (Boulevard John Kennedy), take the second turning on the right (Route de l’Ermitage) and follow the route marked on the map to the entrance to CEDEP’s car park. Speak to the receptionist through the intercom at the barrier.

From Lyon or Sens
At the roundabout with the obelisk in the centre, take the road to Paris (N7) (this is called the Boulevard de Constance). At the second set of traffic lights you will see INSEAD to your left but you must not cut across the Boulevard. Go straight on and take the slip road to the right just before the Carrefour de la Libération and then turn right again into the Boulevard Maginot (BP station on your left). Take the next right turn into the rue Tavernier. At the traffic lights, turn left into the Boulevard de Constance, then take the next turning on the right (Route de l’Ermitage) and follow the route marked on the map to the entrance to CEDEP’s car park. Speak to the receptionist through the intercom at the barrier.

By Train

From Gare de Nord to Gare de Lyon

If you arrive on the Eurostar or the Thalys, you will arrive at Gare du Nord and will need to take the regional train line – RER D (green line) direction MALESHERBES . This will take you from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon in only two stops and should take 10-15 minutes.

From Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport

Take the blue RER B line change at Châtelet les Halles then take the red RER A line (direction Boissy St-Léger or EuroDisney / Marne laVallée) and get off at the Gare de Lyon.

From Orly Airport

Take the ‘OrlyVal’ from Orly airport to Antony, then take the blue RER B line to Châtelet les Halles station in Paris. Take the red RER A line to Gare de Lyon.

From Paris Gare de Lyon to Fontainebleau-Avon

At the Gare de Lyon go to the “Guichet Banlieue” to buy your ticket for “Fontainebleau-Avon”.

Tickets can also be bought from the blue automatic ticket machines with ‘Transilien’ written above.

The final destination will be displayed on the main departure board :Montereau, Montargis, Sens or Laroche Migennes – Check also on the screens at the beginning of each platform for Fontainebleau.

Trains leave from two areas of the Station – The Platforms 5-23 indicated by the colour BLUE and Platforms A-N indicated by the colour YELLOW (all situated on the top level of the station).

By Bus

From Fontainebleau/Avon Train station to Town Centre/Castle

The bus line A/B direction Chateau can take you to Fontainebleau Town Centre or the Castle (There is then a 15 minute walk from the Castle to the INSEAD/CEDEP campus). The bus stops in front of the Fontainebleau Tourist Office. You follow the Rue Royale and then cross the Boulevard de Constance.

Please note that there are buses running from the Station to Fontainebleau Castle until 11.33 p.m. only on SUNDAYS.
